
Officers responded to a call about a shooting on the 400 block of Orchard Drive in Brentwood on March 16. They arrived at approximately 8:00 pm to find a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was rushed to a local area hospital and survived the ordeal, according to a social media post by the City of Brentwood Police Department.
Prompted by witness statements, law enforcement identified 34-year-old Demetrius Carroll from Brentwood as the suspect. Carroll, who had four previous strikes to his record, was arrested and recently convicted of attempted voluntary manslaughter and assault with a deadly weapon, netting his fifth strike. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
