The Colma Police Department is investigating a theft incident that occurred last week. According to the Colma Police Department's social media post, last Monday at about 6:03 PM, Colma officers responded to a theft report at the Metro Mall Shopping Center.
Upon arrival, the officers spotted a male suspect alleged to have been in the process of fleeing in a white Nissan with stolen goods. The officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop safely, but the vehicle would not yield and subsequently fled from the parking lot at a high-speed rate. To avoid escalating the risk to public safety, the officers did not initiate the pursuit.
The incident purportedly involved approximately $250.00 worth of merchandise, and as per the business’ loss prevention officer, the suspect had been implicated in multiple thefts at the same establishment in the past.
