Early this morning, a fire severely damaged a portion of a Hialeah home, requiring the swift response of multiple fire rescue units. According to Local 10, the incident occurred before dawn in the 2000 block of East 34th Terrace. Footage captured from the scene showed firefighters working to control the blaze that had inflicted significant damage to the side of the property.
As crews labored to quickly extinguish the conflagration, there were no immediate details released by fire rescue regarding the cause of the incident. The situation, however, was not to be an isolated encounter with fire for the community that day. Nearly concurrently, an emergency call had drawn Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to address another fire just a short distance away.
This separate incident involved a shed fire near a home located at 2080 E 34th Street. In a report provided by WSVN, the flames were said to be emanating from a shed positioned against the wall of the house when crews arrived. Fortunately, firefighters were able to contain and abolish the fire promptly, ensuring that no one was hurt in the process.
The State Fire Marshall has taken up an investigation to meticulously determine the causes of both fires. While the exact origins remain yet to be discovered, no injuries were reported in either incident.
