
Maury County faced a day of accidents last Friday, with emergency services responding to two separate incidents requiring vehicle extrications. The first occurred at 8:40 a.m. on Theta Pike, where the Maury County Fire Department had to remove a vehicle's windshield to free an individual, as per the WSVN report.
The status of the motorist involved in the Theta Pike accident remains unknown. Later that evening, around 11:15 p.m., a more serious accident occurred on Double Branch Road. Crews found two people trapped in the wreckage, with one person severely entrapped, according to a Maury County Fire Department Facebook post.
An off-duty firefighter from the Franklin Fire Department responded to the Double Branch Road incident after hearing the collision from his home. He assisted the on-scene crews. Both trapped individuals were eventually freed and taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center for treatment., as detailed in a report by WKRN.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the second crash, and the condition of the injured individuals remains unknown.
