
A tragic incident unfolded in Chula Vista as a motorcycle collision on Telegraph Canyon Road claimed a life yesterday. According to the Chula Vista Police Department, the accident occurred at approximately 4:44 pm when a motorcycle, identified as a 2005 Suzuki GSXR1000, struck the center median while traveling westbound, causing the rider to lose control. The sequence of events led to the rider being ejected into oncoming traffic and subsequently being run over by a 2006 Honda Accord.
The immediate response from officers and paramedics could not alter the grim outcome. The motorcycle rider succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the Honda, a 56-year-old woman from Spring Valley, was unharmed and cooperated with law enforcement, with no suspicion of alcohol or drug impairment contributing to the crash. The Chula Vista Police Traffic Bureau has since been called to delve deeper into the collision's specifics, the cause of which remains under investigation.
While the identity of the deceased is withheld pending family notification, police encourage any witnesses or individuals with relevant information to contact them.
