
Gunfire erupted in Riverside Park last night, resulting in one man's death. WSVN reports that Fort Lauderdale Police were summoned to the 1400 block of Southwest 5th Court after receiving reports of a shooting, upon arrival they discovered a man suffering from gunshot wounds.
The unnamed victim was rushed to Broward Health Medical Center, his condition grave enough to warrant a trauma alert; he has since succumbed to his injuries despite the paramedics' efforts, no suspect has been detained in connection with the shooting, the police's probe into the incident is deepening as they urge anyone with information to step forward—a plea echoed by Local 10 News.
As dawn broke over the neighborhood, the afterimages of the previous night's violence were stark—Local 10 News crew observed a considerable amount of blood on a home's front door. Detective Ali Adamson confirmed the absence of arrests thus far, with law enforcement's efforts continuing apace to locate the shooter responsible for the uproar.
