Plunkett Street in Hollywood is being upgraded overnight. According to a notice from the City of Hollywood's official website, Basile USA LLC, a contractor with the Department of Public Works will be fully closing sections of the street for resurfacing from December 2 through December 5.
Resurfacing work on Plunkett Street will take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly to reduce disruptions for commuters. The road will reopen by 6 a.m. each day, and local traffic will still have access during the closures. Details on the specific portions of the road to be closed each night are as follows: S 56 Ave to S 57 Ave on December 2, S 57th Ave to S 58th Ave on December 3, S 58th Ave to Best Recycling Services Inc on December 4, and from Best Recycling Services Inc to SR 441 on December 5. The city advises residents to remove vehicles and personal items from the public right-of-way during work to avoid damage or loss. Any costs for such incidents will be the owner's responsibility.
