Westerly winds of 11 to 15 mph, with gusts reaching as high as 28 mph, are expected to shake up the mostly cloudy skies.
As we head into the night, the city anticipates a drop in temperature to around 17 degrees. The westerly breeze will persist, moving at a speed of 6 to 10 mph, gusting occasionally up to 20 mph. Looking forward to Saturday night, there's a 20 percent chance of snowfall before 1am. Temperatures are expected to hover around the upper teens, with a low around 19 degrees, while the wind remains steady from the west northwest at 5 to 8 mph. Sunday will bring some respite from the clouds, offering full sunshine and a high reaching close to 29 degrees, with continued mild winds.
For the early part of next week, Indianapolis will see more sun on Monday with highs near 31 degrees and light winds. Monday night's forecast includes partly cloudy skies and low temperatures around 17 degrees. A chance of snow returns Tuesday night, with a 30 percent probability of precipitation and lows dropping to about 22 degrees. As per NWS, the unsettled pattern brings a continued chance of snow through Wednesday, with mostly cloudy conditions and high temperatures possibly reaching 38 degrees.
As the week progresses, Wednesday night's weather is expected to be partly cloudy with lows dipping into the upper 20s, and Thursday's conditions will be partly sunny with a high near 41.
