A fatal shooting in the Englewood neighborhood of South Side Chicago claimed the life of a man late Wednesday evening. The incident, which took place in the 7000 block of South Ashland Avenue around 9:20 p.m., involved a 36-year-old man who, according to the Chicago Sun-Times, was engaged in a heated argument with two individuals prior to the shooting.
During the confrontation, one of the two individuals reportedly drew a firearm and shot the victim twice in the chest. The man was swiftly transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
