
Tragedy struck in South Miami Heights early this morning when a man fell victim to a drive-by shooting that proved fatal. The incident, reported by Local10, occurred just before 1 a.m. at the 19300 block of Southwest 116th Avenue, Miami-Dade Police were dispatched to the scene after a report of gunshots Miami-Dade Fire Rescue promptly transported the victim to Jackson South Medical Center where, despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead.
A similar account was provided by NBC Miami, detailing that the man was standing in front of a home when an unidentified vehicle approached and an assailant inside the vehicle opened fire, Miami-Dade Police are actively investigating the shooting but have yet to release information on the suspects or the victim's identity.
