Miami-Dade County Animal Services and the Miami-Dade Public Library System have teamed up for the 4th consecutive year to kick off the festive “Presents for Pets” donation drive, a campaign inviting locals to bestow holiday cheer upon shelter pets by gifting them treats, toys, and cozy bedding; the drive starts today and runs until the year's end, according to Miami-Dade County press release.
"As you embark on your holiday shopping this season, we encourage you to consider adding a small gift for a shelter pet to your list," Annette Jose, Director of Miami-Dade County Animal Services, conveyed in a statement obtained by the county's press release. Donation drop-offs are welcomed at the Animal Services Pet Adoption and Protection Center, Stephen P. Clark Government Center, culminating on December 31.
These charitable gestures aim to enhance the day-to-day experiences of pets awaiting adoption.
