
A house fire in Davie early Tuesday morning killed one person. The fire, reported just after 6 a.m. at 4821 SW 76 Avenue, was quickly controlled by Davie Fire Rescue, as reported by CBS News Miami.
"Upon arrival, crews quickly knocked down the fire and tragically, there appears to be one fatality associated with this incident," Davie Fire Rescue stated, as relayed by CBS News Miami. The fire, which took hold of a guest house on the property, was fortunately contained before it could spread to adjacent buildings. However, the structure sustained severe damage, including a collapsed roof, as WSVN 7News reported from the scene, their helicopter providing aerial views of the aftermath.
Davie Fire Rescue confirmed the fatality although further details about the victim have not yet been released. The focus now shifts to understanding the origin and cause of the fire. Investigators from various departments including Davie Police, a Fire and Life Safety Division fire investigator, and the State Fire Marshal's office have been enlisted to unravel the circumstances leading up to this tragic event.
