Tragedy struck on Willow Pass Road in Pittsburg last Friday night when 50-year-old Joaquin Revuelta was found unresponsive in the street following a hit-and-run incident. The Pittsburg Police Department is turning to the community for assistance in tracking down the responsible driver. Officials are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to step forward.
According to a social media post from the Pittsburg Police Department, the incident occurred at around 9:17 pm on the 1500 block of Willow Pass Road, with officers arriving on the scene and discovering Revuelta suffering from severe injuries that led to his death that same night at John Muir Medical Center. The hit-and-run was also captured on area cameras, providing police with footage that might lead to identifying and apprehending the perpetrator.
The department's Traffic Division is leading the investigation, and several leads are being pursued with the hope that they will highlight not only the vehicle involved but also the person who was behind the wheel.
