Authorities are seeking the public's help in locating 17-year-old Jakilah Vaden, who went missing earlier this week. According to the Chicago Police Department, Jakilah was last seen on November 18, 2024, near the 200 block of N. Whipple. She is described as a Black female, 4'11" in height, weighing 90 lbs., with brown eyes, and brown/blonde hair. Concerns are growing as her absence prolongs.
On the day of her disappearance, she was wearing brown leggings and a white hooded sweatshirt. Erroneously wearing brown leggings, the hoodie is another key identifier that may help in recognizing Jakilah. Known to frequent the area of the 5400 block of N. Winthrop, she may potentially be searching in her familiar haunts by anyone with information.
The Chicago Police Department's Area One SVU is currently searching and asking anyone with information about Jakilah's whereabouts to make contact immediately.
