A recent road rage incident escalated into a robbery at a Habit Burger Grill drive-thru in Riverdale. As reported by FOX13, Kay Conde, 34, was arrested Wednesday following an altercation that started on northbound Interstate 15 in Ogden. The dispute spilled into the drive-thru lane, where Conde confronted another driver, subsequently taking money from the driver's lap before walking away.
The victim, traveling with two toddlers in her Tesla, which was equipped with a 360-degree camera, recorded Conde's vehicle tailgating at a "dangerous" distance and making multiple erratic maneuvers, KSLTV reported. The system's advanced technology allowed authorities to easily track the incident that began on the highway.
Law enforcement was able to identify Kay Marlene Scharff Conde thanks to the clear footage captured by the Tesla's cameras and additional surveillance from the location of the dispute, as stated by KUTV. The conclusive videos were recorded near 800 West and Riverdale Road on Tuesday.
Conde is now facing charges that include robbery and aggressive driving behavior. The footage from next to the Tesla's long-lasting battery, which recorded the events, was instrumental in charging Conde after law enforcement reviewed the documented proof of the incident. With multiple angles to assess, the narrative of the exchange was unambiguous and allowed police to make a swift arrest in the interest of justice and public safety.
