Early on the morning of November 13, San Francisco police were called to the intersection of Market and Main Streets, where they discovered a man with serious injuries. Despite efforts to save his life, he was pronounced dead at the scene, as per a report from the San Francisco Police Department.
An investigation by the SFPD Homicide Detail subsequently identified 36-year-old Jonathan Calvin Wright as a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant. On Sunday, Wright was apprehended by BART Police at San Francisco General Hospital and later taken into custody by SFPD officers.
As stated in the San Francisco Police Department's news release, Wright has been booked for homicide under section 187(a) of the California Penal Code. Although Wright has been arrested, investigators continue their work on the case and encourage anyone with information to come forward.
