Attention Spokane Avenue regulars: starting Monday, Nov. 4, you'll need to rethink your route. Borderland Construction Company is rolling up its sleeves for waterline work within Pima County's right-of-way. You can expect Spokane Avenue to be off-limits between Avra Valley Road and Safford Street, but only from the early bird hours of 6 a.m. to the after-lunch lull at 4 p.m., according to Pima County's announcement.
The road will reopen daily after crews finish work. Residents on Spokane Avenue can access their homes via Safford Street. If you're passing through, plan for alternative routes until Wednesday, Nov. 6, due to ongoing construction, as per Pima County.
"In the event of mechanical failure or inclement weather, the construction schedule is subject to change," the Pima County stated.
