The San Francisco Police Department officers have apprehended a suspect linked to the recent heart-wrenching shooting of a pregnant woman last Tuesday. This distressing incident unfolded on the 1100 block of Hollister when the unnamed victim, along with her daughter and other residents, found themselves in the crossfire within what was supposed to be the safety of their home. The woman sustained severe injuries that have been described as life-threatening.
Following an urgent response by Bayview Station officers, emergency medical technicians rushed to administer aid before the victim was transported to a local hospital. The suspect, now identified as Khiri Roberson, aged 30, managed to evade initial capture by fleeing the scene before law enforcement's arrival.
However, in the following days, members of the SFPD’s Crime Violent Reduction Team pieced together the sequence of events and the clues they offered; gathering sufficient probable cause, they were granted a search warrant for Roberson’s Daly City home. Last Thursday, operatives tactically located and arrested Roberson near South Mayfair Ave. and Park Plaza Drive, according to the San Francisco Police Department.
After the arrest, San Francisco County Jail became Roberson's new residence, where he was booked on charges, including two counts of attempted homicide and discharging a firearm in a grossly negligent manner. Officials from the department report the search of his home yielded a firearm, among other pieces of evidence pertinent to the case.
The SFPD is urging anyone with potentially crucial information to come forward. Citizens can contact the SFPD at 1-415-575-4444 or 'Text a Tip' to TIP411, beginning the message with 'SFPD'.
