The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency has kicked off its annual photo contest, inviting shutterbugs to submit their wildlife snapshots for a chance to be featured in the 2025-26 Tennessee Wildlife calendar. According to the agency's official announcement, they're scouring for photographic talents to portray the rich tapestry of fauna native to Tennessee, and yes, this isn’t just about pretty birds and majestic deer – think bigger, like shots depicting hunting, fishing, and the state's thriving boating scene.
Photographers have until March 17, 2025, to submit up to 10 entries for a chance to win a $60 cash prize and a spot in the Tennessee Wildlife Calendar. Entries must be high-resolution horizontal landscapes, at least 8.5 x 11 inches, and 300 DPI to ensure crisp print quality, as detailed by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
Winners will have their work featured in print from August 2025 through July 2026, highlighting Tennessee’s hunting seasons and outdoor activities. All submitted photos are kept on file and may appear in other TWRA publications, license cards, or digital platforms, as reported by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.
