An investigation is underway after a shooting incident injured three individuals, including two teenagers, in a northwest Miami-Dade neighborhood. According to Local 10 News, the event took place yesterday evening in the vicinity of Northwest 65th Street and 22nd Avenue. The victims' ages were reported to be 15, 17, and 22, and they were found with non-life-threatening injuries following the attack.
The three individuals were said to be standing outside of a residence when an assailant emerged and, without evident provocation, began to openly fire at them. This resulted in all three being shot in the leg. They were subsequently transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital and have been listed in stable condition, as per police statements. As investigations were ongoing, police had to quickly set up a perimeter in the area but did not release any suspect description to the public.
Further details from NBC Miami indicate that the shooting may not have been a random act of violence. Police suggest that the shooting was an isolated incident and the assailant may have known at least one of the individuals who were targeted.
