
A tragic incident took place on Monday afternoon in Jupiter Farms, resulting in the death of a 29-year-old motorcyclist from West Palm Beach. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office reported the collision occurred along Indiantown Road, west of Florida's Turnpike.
Investigators identified the motorcyclist as Dominic Brown. According to The Palm Beach Post, Brown was traveling east on his Yamaha motorcycle when an a 2019 Dodge Ram attempted to exit a shopping plaza and turn onto westbound Indiantown Road. The two vehicles collided when the truck crossed into the motorcyclist's path.
The collision occurred as the truck, driven by a 69-year-old woman from Jupiter Farms, crossed the eastbound lane, and Brown's motorcycle veered into the median, ultimately striking the pickup's rear quarter panel. "Neither drugs nor alcohol were believed to be a factor in the crash," reported the Sheriff's Office, noting that Brown was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. The motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, according to The Palm Beach Post.
The crash aftermath was detailed further by CBS12, revealing that the "motorcycle became entangled with the Ram during the collision, and the rider was ejected from his bike." The driver of the truck reported no injuries, and no charges are pending against her in the wake of the crash. Authorities have not disclosed the speed of the vehicles at the time of the crash.
