Alicia Witt, known for her Hallmark Christmas movie fame, is veering into the music scene with a holiday album and an upcoming performance in Decatur. Witt is set to showcase her first full-length Christmas album, "I Think I’m Spending Christmas With You," at Eddie's Attic on Sunday, as reported by Fox5 Atlanta.
"I really put so much time, so much of my heart in it, this whole year," Witt disclosed in an interview with Fox5 Atlanta. "Truly, there isn’t a single aspect of the album that I haven’t overseen. I did produce it, and I’m so proud of it." Among the original tracks, audiences will find Witt's musing Christmas spirit in songs like the playful and piano-driven title track and a peculiar number, "Weird Time of Year," which whimsically captures the holiday confusion from a house pet’s point of view.
The singer and actress has also cooked up a plan to weave her fans into the festive tapestry of her music promotion. Hoping to wrangle a choir of barks and purrs, Witt is inviting fans to contribute to a potential music video by sharing their pets' holiday bewilderment on social media. As per an MSN coverage, fans can join in by posting their furry friends' photos and videos using #WeirdTimeOfYear and tagging the artist in hopes of creating a fan-made music video. "If we get enough of them, maybe it’ll be a whole video of Georgia dogs and cats," Witt enthused.
The event at Eddie's Attic will begin at 8 p.m. on Sunday. Ticket seekers are directed towards a starting price of $39.50 for the event, with the purchase available through Witt's website, according to Fox5 Atlanta.
