Renard Sullivan, an Atlanta man, was shot and robbed of his electric bike and backpack during an early morning commute to work in southwest Atlanta. "I have nightmares and stuff like that. I can't sleep," Sullivan told FOX 5 Atlanta, recalling how a car pulled up behind him, demands were made for his belongings, and he was shot in the leg. The attack happened near Hiawassee Drive before 6 a.m. on Monday last week, and Atlanta police have made no arrests in the case.

The investigation is ongoing, with the Atlanta Police Department responding to the 500 block of Hiawassee Drive SW where they found Sullivan with a gunshot wound according to a report by Atlanta News First.

Sullivan, who regularly followed the route for his job at a local gas station, expressed confusion about the attack, saying, "I don't mess with nobody. I just go and do what I got to do. Work, you know what I'm saying? Do a little work out there at the gas station," according to FOX 5 Atlanta. His sibling mentioned that the stolen electric bike was Sullivan's primary mode of transport and shared that this was not the first robbery attempt, as a previous one was stopped by his son's intervention.

In response to the incident, Sullivan's family has started a GoFundMe campaign to help him rebuild his life, focusing on his need for transportation and recovery from the mental toll of the ordeal. Sullivan said, "Get them off the street, so they don't do it to nobody else," in an interview with FOX 5 Atlanta.

The Atlanta Police Department's preliminary findings suggest two masked males in a white sedan perpetrated the attack, APD is urging anyone with information to come forward and contact them at 404-658-6666 or to reach out to Crime Stoppers anonymously by calling 404-577-TIPS (8477) or visiting www.stopcrimeATL.com, where tips leading to an arrest and indictment could be eligible for a cash reward.
