Authorities were quick to respond, rerouting traffic onto the Exit 8 off-ramp to allow vehicles to circumvent the accident site. This unexpected detour caused backups extending to Exit 1 by late morning, as per updates by Clarksville Now. Motorists were asked to exercise patience or seek alternate routes as the traffic snarls worsened. By early afternoon, normal traffic flow resumed, signifying an end to the earlier congestion.
