
The Delray Beach Police Department is seeking assistance from the community following a shooting on Monday at the Bi-Lo Market in Delray Beach. According to the police, a 30-year-old man was the victim of a targeted attack, which resulted in his death.
According to the City of Delray Beach release, the incident occurred around 11:51 AM at 24 NW 8th Ave. Officers responded to reports of gunfire and found Timmy Hayes suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have stated that there is no known threat to the community beyond this incident.
Law enforcement is using surveillance footage to help identify the suspect. The suspect, described as an unknown male, fled the scene quickly after the shooting. The police have released photos of the suspect's distinctive clothing and are asking the public to help identify him.
