Chaos unfolded at Englewood STEM High School yesterday morning when a large fight erupted, leading to the arrest of five individuals and minor injuries to four Chicago police officers. The Chicago Police Department responded to reports of the melee at the school, located at 68th and Normal, around 11:15 a.m., as detailed by the Chicago Sun-Times. Officers arriving at the scene discovered a significant altercation on the school's second floor, although the exact number of participants was not immediately clear.
An effort to disband the brawl led to several officers being attacked, with four subsequently treated at a hospital for minor injuries, CBS Chicago reported. The principal of Englewood STEM, Christopher Shelton, addressed the incident in a letter to parents and the school community.
