The notorious morning commute in Palm Beach experienced a snag this past Wednesday when the Flagler Memorial Bridge began malfunctioning. According to CBS 12, the important thoroughfare, which serves as a critical link for residents and commuters, was reported to not be functioning properly around 7:50 a.m., causing a significant interruption in morning travel.
As traffic backed up, officials from the Town of Palm Beach acted quickly to remedy the situation. It was by 8:17 a.m. that the Town reported the bridge had been reopened, and normal traffic flow was re-established. This relief came as motorists faced potential delays in getting to their destinations on a busy weekday.
The reopening of the bridge was confirmed by the Town of Palm Beach on their official platform. A statement issued by the Town and specialized by WPTV notified the public that the Flagler Memorial Bridge was back in service and that traffic was able to flow in both directions without further complications.
