The Florida Panthers are gearing up to host a new event that will have fans ditching the ice for asphalt. It's called the Cat’s Cup Street Hockey Festival, set for a face-off at Amerant Bank Arena’s parking lots on March 15 and 16, 2025. The team is inviting street hockey fans of all ages and skill levels to join this two-day event.
According to WPTV, the adult contestants will play on March 15, while the youth will compete the next day. Teams, made up of seven players each, need to shell out $500 to enter this 3-on-3 (plus one goaltender) tournament. All proceeds will funnel directly into the Florida Panthers Foundation.
The registration package includes a variety of merchandise that’s sure to excite any hockey fan. As per NHL's report, adults will skate away with a branded jersey, drawstring bag, water bottle, and other essentials for sunny-day spectating. The kids will get their own treasure trove featuring sunglasses, stick, and more. On the logistical front, the games will have that professional feel, with official HockeyFest referees overseeing the action. Each team is guaranteed at least three games, and with a bit of skill, they could win a special trophy and earn tickets to see the Panthers in an upcoming game.
