Missouri Governor Mike Parson made headlines recently by filling three judicial vacancies across the state's 10th, 13th, and 22nd Judicial Circuits. In the 10th Judicial Circuit, Governor Parson appointed Jennifer A. Richardson as the Associate Circuit Judge for Marion County. Richardson, who has been the District Defender for Missouri Public Defender’s Office District 2, brings to the position a strong background in law with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Columbia. She is set to replace the Honorable John J. Jackson following his election as Circuit Judge. This appointment is anticipated to further solidify the administration's commitment to intelligent legal practice in the region.
The 13th Judicial Circuit will now have Jayne A. Pearman serving as its Associate Circuit Judge for Boone County. Pearman, the owner of Jayne A. Pearman LC, possesses a keen knowledge of both the legal and financial realms with a Bachelor of Science in accounting and a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Columbia. She is positioned to fill the seat vacated by the election of the Honorable Stephanie Morrell as Circuit Judge. Governor Parson's choice reflects an intention to broaden judicial perspectives, by incorporating a professional who understands not just legal statutes but also the financial implications of legal decisions.
Over in the 22nd Judicial Circuit, Michael R. Dauphin has been tasked to take on the role of Associate Circuit Judge. Dauphin's current role as Assessor of the City of St. Louis coupled with his academic achievements in political science and law from Missouri State University and St. Mary’s University makes him a fitting candidate for the bench. His jurisprudence appointment serves to fill the spot left by the appointment of the Honorable Heather J. Hays as Circuit Judge.
The announcement of these appointments by Governor Parson not only marks a new chapter for the Missouri judiciary but also underlines the Governor's agenda to balance experience and innovation within the state's legal frameworks. With each appointee carrying a unique blend of professional experiences and academic credentials, the freshly appointed judges are expected to substantially contribute to their respective circuits. As Missouri communities look onwards, the infusion of fresh judicial leadership is poised to inevitably resonate through the courts and into the fabric of public service.
