A 41-year-old man was the victim of an assault in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood, where he was punched and subsequently had an unidentified liquid thrown in his face, resulting in burning and blurred vision. This violent incident took place on Monday evening, as reported by WGN-TV.
According to the police, the attack happened at approximately 7:15 p.m. on the 3200 block of West Armitage Avenue. The victim, while walking down the sidewalk, was approached by an assailant who struck him in the eye and doused him with the caustic liquid. Seeking medical assistance, officers arrived at his residence at around 9:15 p.m., which was reported by Fox 32 Chicago.
The Chicago Fire Department was called to the scene and the man was transported to Humboldt Park Health Hospital for treatment, where he was listed in good condition. The Chicago Police Department has not yet made any arrests in connection with the incident, and the motivation behind the attack remains unclear. Area Five detectives are currently investigating the case.
