A Cutler Bay gas station became a crime scene early today after a fatal shooting incident that claimed the life of 56-year-old Vincent Arthur McCrow. According to Local 10, Miami-Dade Police were called to the Mobil gas station at 20200 South Dixie Highway just after midnight, where they found McCrow with multiple gunshot wounds.

McCrow was quickly transported by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to Jackson South Medical Center, but he later died from his injuries, as per NBC Miami.

A 35-year-old man was identified as a person of interest and was detained by authorities. Miami-Dade Police Detective Andre Martin stated, "Initially that individual left the scene, but then returned shortly there after when officers were on scene. I assume to explain his account of what happened so what we are in the process of doing right now is interviewing that individual but also trying to work with the employees, the workers here at this gas station, in order to obtain any video evidence that they may have that really tells the truth as it happened here last night," in a statement obtained by Local 10.

The motives behind the shooting remain under investigation, as detectives try to determine the events leading to McCrow's death. The police have not yet revealed additional details about the altercation that led to the shooting. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers.
