A man was hospitalized following a shooting on Thursday in the West Park neighborhood. Broward Sheriff's Office deputies and Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded to the scene at a RaceTrac gas station located at 3900 Pembroke Road in Pembroke Park, according to Local 10.
Police records show the shooting occurred a few blocks away near Southwest 20th Street and 40th Avenue. Despite his injuries, the man made his way to the gas station, where authorities later found him. The victim was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital; his condition was stable, as per a WSVN report.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear. The investigation into the events leading to the violence is ongoing.
