According to FOX 32 Chicago, the incident occurred around 5:44 a.m. within the confines of a home located on the 5500 block of West Jackson Boulevard.
The suspect, yet to be identified publicly, managed quickly to flee the scene in an unknown direction, sparking a manhunt by local authorities. The wounded individual, suffering a gunshot wound to his left shoulder, was promptly transported to the hospital and was subsequently listed in good condition.
