The Memphis Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in connection with a shoplifting incident that occurred at a local Target. According to a post on their official Facebook page, the event unfolded on Sunday, at around 5:05 p.m. at the retail location situated at 5959 Poplar Avenue.
An unknown Black male allegedly picked out several items of men's clothing, placed them into a stolen suitcase, and exited the store through the fire escape. The suspect has been described as wearing all black, around 6 feet tall, and weighing approximately 200 lbs. The Memphis Police Department's Appling Farms Station is currently on the lookout for this person and is asking anyone with information to step forward.
The authorities have not revealed the value of the stolen merchandise or if this incident is connected to any other crimes in the area. What is clear, however, is that the Memphis Police are treating this matter seriously and are in earnest need of support from anyone who might have witnessed the event or who can identify the suspect from the provided description.
