A Miami-Dade altercation led to a woman being behind bars after accusations surfaced of her stabbing a man in the chest with a pocket knife, a statement from Miami-Dade Police detailed. Veronica See, 22, was apprehended and is facing an attempted felony murder charge following the incident which took place last Friday morning at a residence on Southwest 139th Avenue, as reported by NBC Miami.
The police, responding to a stabbing report, arrived at the scene around 9:30 a.m. and found the male victim bleeding critically; he was subsequently airlifted to Jackson South Medical Center for urgent medical care, according to CBS Miami, See, known to the police, was found concealing herself in nearby bushes after fleeing the scene, she was taken into custody without incident.
The arrest report disclosed that prior to the stabbing a verbal dispute escalated between See and the victim, during which she grabbed at the victim's shirt and thereafter, he responded by pushing her off him; this is when See reportedly wielded a pocket knife and inflicted the chest wound.
