Early this morning, an Antioch apartment complex was engulfed in flames, with Metro Nashville Police Department officers and Nashville Fire Department crews responding to the emergency call. The blaze, which severely damaged one side of a building at the Lyric on Bell Apartments located at 455 Arbor Place, has led to intensive questioning of a person of interest, reported WSMV. The complex, situated just off Bell Road, is known to be currently vacant and undergoing renovations, according to a woman present on the scene.
According to coverage by WKRN, multiple fire units were dispatched to the 400 block of Arbor Place around 1 a.m., utilizing ladder trucks to combat the fire from an elevated position. Despite the fire spreading through the roof and affecting multiple units, officials confirmed no injuries were sustained. The cause of the fire, which investigators believe originated at the top of the building, remains under investigation, with no additional detail immediately available.
Crews worked determinedly to contain the fire and manage residual hot spots. "The fire was called into police dispatch around 1 a.m. Thursday," noted a report from FOX 17 News. Thankfully, there were no reports of injuries, offering a small solace in what could have resulted in a far graver situation.
