
A man died in a fiery crash last night in Nashville's Donelson area. The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) responded to the incident on Lebanon Pike around 9 p.m., according to WSMV. A Chevrolet Silverado was speeding east when the driver lost control, hit a utility pole, then a tree, causing the vehicle to catch fire.
Witnesses to the tragedy saw the pickup truck engulf in flames almost immediately after the accident. The Nashville Fire Department (NFD) crews were called to the scene and managed to extinguish the fire, as detailed by a WKRN report. Following the incident, authorities confirmed the male driver's death at the scene.
The driver's identity is still unknown, and the Medical Examiner's Office is currently working to identify the driver, according to FOX 17.
