Nashville police are asking for the community's help in identifying two suspects linked to the December 9 shooting of a 61-year-old man. The incident occurred outside his Fanning Drive home, where, according to witnesses, two drivers in Dodge Challengers were performing stunts that nearly caused a collision with a family member. The confrontation escalated when the victim mentioned calling the police, prompting a violent response from the suspects.
According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department release, After the initial confrontation, the white Dodge Challenger returned to the scene. A passenger allegedly asked, "Oh, you’re going to call the police?" before opening fire and injuring the victim in the ankle. The suspects are described as young men in their early 20s. The driver of the white car is a white man with a fade haircut, and the shooter is a black man.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the white and black Dodge Challengers or their occupants to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Tips can remain anonymous and may lead to a cash reward.
