Landlords and property managers in New Orleans should be aware that the final phase for registering rental properties under the Healthy Homes program is approaching. To help with the process, the Healthy Homes Administration will hold informational webinars today at 2 p.m. and next Wednesday at 6 p.m., as announced by the City of New Orleans Mayor's Office website.

The one-hour webinars will be important for landlords who haven’t yet secured a Certificate of Compliance for their rental units in Orleans Parish, as it will be required starting January 1. The sessions will explain the program basics and guide participants through the registration process. Landlords and property managers are strongly urged to attend at least one session.

The Healthy Homes Program aims to ensure rental properties meet habitability standards to keep tenants safe. The application for the Certificate of Compliance can be completed online through the city’s OneStopApp. For assistance, landlords can visit the Healthy Homes website or email [email protected].

Landlords are encouraged to act soon to avoid non-compliance issues when the new year begins. For more information, visit the Healthy Homes website and complete the registration process.
