Residents planning to toss out their holiday discards might need to hold onto their trash a bit longer this season. According to the City of West Palm Beach announcement from the Public Works Department, there won't be any sanitation services available on Wednesday, so those with Wednesday garbage collection schedules should be prepared to wait until their next regular service day.

During the holiday season, the city's public services are taking a short break. The Public Works call center will be closed on Wednesday, December 25, and Thursday, December 26. Customers with pick-ups on Wednesday are asked to wait and hold their waste until the next scheduled pick-up.

Sanitation services will resume on Thursday, December 26, but there will be a one-day delay for bulk, yard, and commercial collections. If your trash is usually picked up on Thursday, it will be collected on Friday instead. Friday pick-ups will happen on Saturday.
