It was provided in a UHP press release that a black Kia Soul, carrying a driver and two passengers, spun out of control and veered into opposing traffic lanes. This initiated a sequence of collisions, where the vehicle was met head-on by a white Kia Telluride, as recounted by the Utah Highway Patrol. The impact was violent enough to forcibly eject an unrestrained backseat passenger from the Kia Soul, who tragically succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
