The Oregon Division of Financial Regulation is sounding the bell for all filers to heed an upcoming system outage. The North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) Electronic Filing Depository (EFD) is set to temporarily go dark as it transitions to a new website. Between January 1-5, the EFD will be entirely out of reach, leaving filers and regulators in the lurch should they fail to plan ahead.
Those with filings due during this period have a clear directive: complete submissions by 9 p.m. Pacific Time on December 31, 2024. This deadline is not merely a suggestion but a critical cut-off—to submit late is to possibly flirt with non-compliance. The paramount to note is the hiatus of the EFD services; they will be firmly offline after the designated time on New Year's Eve until the first light of Monday, January 6, 2025.
The announcement from the DFR cautions that this isn't just a flicker but a full transition to a new domain: nasaaefd.org. It reassures users, however, that their access credentials will be migrated over seamlessly.
Technical support will naturally follow the EFD to its new digital home. Starting January 6, 2025, EFD support staff can be expected to readily assist at 1-800-378-5007 (toll-free) or via the email [email protected]. As for those seeking further enlightenment on the upcoming changes, more details are promised to be found within the NASAA news release regarding these imminent changes.
