After tailgating blocks away from the stadium, fans marched behind the team bus in a show of support, a display of the community and passion that has been a bedrock for the club. "This is the culmination of everything we have done for the last ten years, but for this season," Cameron Caldwell, Ruckus Organization Council Member, told WFTV. And while the season ended in disappointment, the fan base's sentiment remains positive, "Orlando is an amazing city. An amazing metropolitan area, and we’ve got an amazing soccer team to represent it," said Dan Conlee, Ruckus Organization Founder.
The game was tightly contested, with the Red Bulls securing their lead early in the second half. Orlando City had several opportunities to level the score, but the Red Bulls' defense held firm. The lone goal was the decider, as Orlando City could not find a breakthrough.
Despite the bitter taste of defeat, the team's performance throughout the season has fostered optimism among the fans. "I really think it's going to mentally prepare them more for next season," Alexander Navarro, an Orlando City supporter, expressed in an interview obtained by WESH. Echoing the community's high hopes for the future, Luis Saldarriaga, another supporter, told WESH, "Next year, we'll be invincible. Nobody will stop us."
