A Port St. Lucie couple experienced a shocking start to their day when a pickup truck barreled into their home yesterday morning. As reported by WPBF, the vehicle traversed the front lawn, smashed into the garage door, and propelled the SUV parked inside through the opposite wall, alarmingly close to the master bedroom where homeowner was in bed. The resident described the harrowing incident, stating "it sounded like a bomb."

While racing toward the scene after the collision in the 1500 block of Hunnicut Avenue, the St. Lucie County Fire District implemented its Special Operations to secure the compromised structure, ensuring the safety of all involved. "Their Special Operations teams secured the structure to make sure there were no more emergencies," CBS12 conveyed the authorities' efforts. Despite the destruction and scale of disruption, no residents were injured in this calamity.

Following the incident, the driver of the pickup was promptly transported to a hospital. Officials attending the scene identified a medical episode as the cause of the crash, prompting Port St. Lucie police to issue a citation for careless driving against the driver, though no criminal charges have been decided. The driver's condition post-admission to the hospital remains undisclosed.
