Portland DJ Duncan Allen is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed by a colleague during his shift at Casa Diablo Vegan Strip Club. The incident occurred last Sunday night, and Allen is receiving medical care, as detailed by OregonLive.
According to KPTV, Allen was assaulted in the back, sustaining four stab wounds. The attack was captured on video, which shows the DJ being stabbed while at his booth. Allen was taken to Legacy Emmanuel Medical Center in an ambulance.
Allen publicly credited his survival to the prompt assistance of fellow workers at Casa Diablo. "Sex workers are equal to every other person out there in this world," he said. "And they have every right to be loved and be treated like human beings — if it wasn't for them I would have died. So I want to say thank you to them," Allen told KGW.
Details about the attacker and motive are still unclear, and the investigation is ongoing.
