The Cookeville Leisure Services Department is now accepting registrations for the 2025 LS Youth Volleyball League. Sign-ups are open until Friday next week, providing an opportunity for young players to take their skills to the next level.

According to  the City of Cookeville release, the league will hold an evaluation day on Saturday next week, with practices starting the week of January 13. Lori Medlin, Athletic Coordinator at the Cane Creek Gymnasium, expressed excitement about the program, stating, "Volleyball is a growing sport for all age groups, and we’re happy to bring an avenue for kids to play and learn."

The league is divided into three age brackets for fair play: Training (ages 7-9), College (ages 10-12), and Pro (ages 13-15). The age cut-off date is set to August 15, according to the Putnam County School System. With a registration fee of $50 and sibling discounts available.

The community can support the league by becoming sponsors. Local businesses or individuals can sponsor uniforms for $200 per team, have their branding on gym signage for $250, or get both for $400. The LS Youth Volleyball League offers kids the chance to develop their skills at Cane Creek Gymnasium.
