San Francisco's fight against drug trafficking saw a significant operation unfold last week, leading to the arrest of Fernando Hernandez, a known drug trafficker. The San Francisco Police Department's Narcotics Unit spearheaded the sting, backed by cooperation from the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office and support from the United States Army National Guard, as reported by the San Francisco Police Department.

In the operation, which took place last Wednesday, officers set up near Church Street in Oakland and detained Hernandez upon his departure from the location. Hernadez was believed to be involved in selling narcotics within San Francisco, and the Narcotics Unit had obtained a search warrant after developing probable cause. Aiding them in search of the premises, Officer Montero and K9 Copper discovered what is now becoming too common a sight: drugs and the paraphernalia associated with their distribution.

During the search, the authorities seized about 5 kilograms of suspected Fentanyl, equipment used to manufacture narcotics, two press machines, and over 10,000 dollars in US currency. Hernandez, aged 26, was eventually booked into San Francisco County Jail under his arrest warrant, with these finds potentially adding to charges against him.
