
Miami Police are currently conducting a search for the driver involved in a hit-and-run incident that resulted in two motorcyclists being hospitalized. The accident, which happened in Miami's Allapattah neighborhood, took place around 3:24 a.m. near Northwest Seventh Avenue and 36th Street, as reported by Local 10 News.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a man and a woman suffering from injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle while riding a motorcycle. The victims were promptly transported to Jackson’s Ryder Trauma Center for treatment. Unfortunately, the driver chose to flee the scene rather than to face the aftermath of their actions before the authorities arrived.
While details about the vehicle involved have not been disclosed, Miami Police are actively working to identify the suspect. Authorities are reaching out to the public for any information that may lead to the apprehension of the individual responsible for the crash. According to a statement obtained by WSVN, "Both victims were transported to Jackson’s Ryder Trauma Center to be treated for their injuries."
The Miami-Dade Police Department has urged anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS. Informants may remain anonymous and could be eligible to receive a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest. The investigation continues to move forward, with detectives working persistently to bring closure to a case that has left two members of the community in distress.
