Winter enthusiasts and families looking for a cheerful outdoor experience can mark their calendars for the upcoming "Snowshoes & S’mores" event. Set to unfold on a brisk Sunday afternoon, December 29, from 1 PM to 3 PM, the event will be hosted at Cleary Lake Regional Park, according to Scott County. For those interested, the Outdoor Recreation School instructors are gearing up to provide an instructive yet accessible exposition into the world of snowshoeing.
Participants will have the chance to not only strap on snowshoes but also to navigate the tranquil trails blanketed by winter's crisp embrace. The event, as described on the Scott County website, aims to bring together the joys of snowshoeing with the delight of simple outdoor pleasures. Post-hike, everybody gathers around a warm fire, an opportunity for guests to toast marshmallows and put together their s’mores.
For just $12, this winter adventure offers fun for all ages 5 and up, with gear included. Children 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult, as detailed by Scott County. Prospective attendees are recommended to make haste and reserve their participation by calling 763-559-6700.
