
A high-speed chase on Interstate 95 ended in Indian River County when the suspect tried to hide in a dumpster. CBS12 reports that the chase began around 2:44 p.m. when Florida Highway Patrol troopers started pursuing 23-year-old Fermon Green, who was traveling northbound.
Green led officers into Indian River County, exited onto State Route 60, and continued driving at high speeds before crashing near the intersection of State Route 60 and 66th Avenue. The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office reported that Green, with a bloodied face from the crash, then tried to hide in a nearby dumpster. He was found and arrested on multiple charges, including fleeing to elude, possession of marijuana, and violation of probation.
Photos of the aftermath showed Green's totaled green SUV and a downed pole on the street curb. After being found, Green was taken into custody, according to TCPalm.
